If you are about to build a home, there is NEWS worthwhile sharing; there is indeed a builder one can trust, and will give true value for every dollar spent: Majestic Homes, Brad Alexander.
We lived about 10 driving hours away from the Carolinas, when we decided to have our home built by Majestic Homes. We received the drawings, and were told it would take about 9 months to build the home. We received the construction agreement and the proposal, telling us in detail how much all this would cost. Brad took time explain to us in detail, step by step how a "draw schedule" works. During construction we visited the site about once every month. We stayed in close touch with Brad and hiscrew, and enjoyed a good relationship with the people that poured the concrete footing and the foundation (a very unique feature of Majestic Homes, and a must in the Carolinas) the framers, electrician, plumber, carpenter, mason, painter and all the rest of the VIP's trying to make your castle all you want it to be. For example, we had picked an extradordinary bathroom style requiring expertise in construction and installation, no to mention the fixtures, no one had worked on before. It looks fantastic, and also works like nothing else we ever had before, most importantly it looks like NEW 3 years later. Every house should have a trademark: ours are arches, which are holding up a TREX deck. Brads idea! We did show Brad a picture of a half moon shape CORIAN counter, and it was not mentioned anymore. On the day we moved in, here was this beautiful counter, Thank you, Brad! We enjoy it everyday!
In conclusion: we encountered NO over-runs in the proposal budget. The home was completed in the 9 months proposed time frame. We received dollar for dollar what we had paid for. After 3 years this home looks like new. Everything works, thanks to good planning, and outstanding craftsmanship.
Would we build with Majestic Homes, and Brad Alexander again? POSITIVELY!

We traveled the Grand Strand and north to the Wilmington, NC area to find a house. Having been involved with a local POA and hearing all of the complaints about local contractors, we really were not interested in building. However, we found a piece of property that was ideal to build the house that would suit our desires.
After inquiring about builders in the area, Majestic Homes was found to have many satisfied customers. We felt that the strong educational background in architecture and engineering would be a plus. We sat down with Mr. Brad Alexander and discussed our needs. After walking the property with Mr. Alexander, he took our rough ideas and developed them into a set of prints. We could not have had better assistance in making adjustments to the design and plans while many alternatives were discussed. Due to this thorough planning, there were no change orders.
After all of the plans were completed, other builders were asked to quote on the construction of the home and Majestic Homes was the lowest bidder.

A close friend that had interviewed with Brad to build his new home recommended Brad Alexander of Majestic Homes to me. Brad took the time with us to go through the planning stages of our house from the very beginning, by examining the potential property and house design. We were impressed with the interest he had in our plans, and the suggestions he had offered to improve the design features of the house, even before we decided to choose Majestic Homes.
Additional meetings with Brad included visits to 4 of his previously built homes. After personally talking with the homeowners, all had positive comments about Brad and his excellent team of subcontractors and work crew. The homes themselves were uniquely designed, and confirmed Brad's reputation of superb quality craftsmanship and excellent customer relations.
Brad informed us he would be very flexible with the vendors that would need to be chosen for items such as light fixtures, counter tops, carpeting, etc. Brad recommended the vendors he used on previous home projects, but we were allowed to choose other vendors if we felt they could provide products that would exactly satisfy our specific needs for a custom house. Other builders were not as flexible with this aspect, and would only allow one vendor of his choice.
Brad is a courteous gentleman, very personable, close to his Church, and is very family oriented. We enjoyed talking to him about common interests, and interacting with him and his lovely family even outside the house building environment.
Brad informed us that the bid he would provide may be higher than the bids from other contractors, but he assured us it was very comprehensive, and included all that would be needed to satisfy the building of a complete home, with the details we had specified. After our first visit with Brad, we knew it would be comfortable to communicate our needs to Brad, and we felt confident that we could rely on his advice and judgment to guide us through the home building endeavor.
Of the 5 bids that were returned, Majestic Homes was the second highest bid, but as Brad said, it did include many of the hidden and add-on costs that the bids from other contractors had not included. Most other contractors had allowances that were not sufficient.
An immediate benefit after choosing Majestic Homes was when Linda and I reviewed the house plans again with Brad, and decided to change the design of the house to make the living area more efficient. Brad made many changes to the inside of the house to accomplish this. He also designed the back of the house to take optimum advantage of the incredible views of the golf course and the lake we had available to us. The changes were dramatic, but with the guidance of Brad, no increase cost to the original bid was incurred. In addition, Brad completely re-drew the house plans using his own computer system, and supplied numerous copies to the required agencies and to us at no additional cost.
During the building process, Brad chose an outstanding team of highly skilled professionals that were committed to quality and a passion for client satisfaction. They all worked in a clean and efficient manner. He himself was a hands on member of the process and was at the building site a majority of the time. Brad built the house in a very timely manner, and the final cost was right on budget.
Today we can be extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Brad and will recommend Majestic Homes to my friends and associates for consideration in their construction endeavors in the Myrtle Beach area.
